Lab Work – Rad Racer Video – The Classics With @NintendoComplete
Adding to the list of old Nintendo and Sony console games, we tossed in Rad Racer for good measure. See more…
I can’t do much without the video from @NintendoComplete. Let’s assume you remember Rad Racer or perhaps you read another one of our game articles or watched a video. Welcome! Let’s get into it!
Rad Racer, is on my Top 10 list, probably as the number 2 racing game, behind Mario Kart. Although from different era’s of gaming and presenting different challenges etc. Rad Racer was one of the first games I was able to conquer, learning the puzzles and strategies to beat the game. I think Zelda and Rad Racer… were my first two overall game wins.
Music selection, snow scenes and a Ferrari 328 looking car (the closest I’ve been to an F-1 race car) are all features of this game. The F-1 Lotus race car also remainds me of another video game, F-1 Race. It’s a different game, but very similar in graphics, color palette, sound, and SFX (sound effects). I loved this game as a kid, and it’s still the same after all these years. Nowadays, it’s all about YouTube content creators doing races and speed runs until we purchase that Nintendo Switch. The ending is cool, funny, and simple, just like many early NES games.

I am a huge Excitebike fan. For those who don’t know what Excitebike is, check out the Excitebike video! I love creating custom tracks and stages with max jumps and bumps; it is definitely a great game ahead of its time. See more…
It feels like I start each review with, I’m a huge fan, well, Excitebike is no different… I could be just era I grow up in, these games took RGPs and boardgames to a new level. Mario, Excitebike, and Duck Hunt – if I recall correctly, these three games were the first games we owned. Not in that order, I can’t remember which games might have come with the console. I don’t know that the order matters, but Excitebike was epic. The hurdles, the big jumps, the step-ups and customizer…
The Excitebike track customizer might have been the most epic part, having the ability to create my own mega ramp race course. That was truly a game changer for me. I especially liked the ‘bluish’ and ‘neon green’ courses. The only real hang up I had with this game was the engine temperature or overheating… Like Top Gun, and the landing bit, the game is awesome, also my achilles heal. Overheating and landing, not so much. I was not the ‘landing’ type, never really got the hang of it. Where temperature was much easier to control in Excitebike. So, the customizer and temperature awareness… take aways. Jumps were fantastic, courses were worth the ride and game play was worth the hours upon hours of play.

Pro Wrestling is a fantastic game! Watch NES Pro Wrestling video now… See more…
Check out @nintendoComplete’s play-through of this great two-player game.
You got to love Pro Wrestling, this game was fantastic. If I remember correctly, it was early on in my gaming career some 30 years ago. By gaming career, I simply mean the time to play a game at an early age (tongue in cheek reference to having all the time in the world as a child).
I recall how cool the Amazon was… King Slender and Starman were. For some reason, I’m not sure why, but I essentially wanted to play this game nonstop. It’s probably been since middle school that I last played it.
It’s definitely on my “to buy” list if I ever get around to purchasing that Nintendo Switch I’ve been talking about. Not that this game was any more special or difficult than other NES console games. I think its simplicity was its feature, along with characters and famous wrestling moves.
Future self, remember to get back in the ring… That is one takeaway from this article that I do want to share… Ring time was essential; early on, it was an easy win if I made my way out of the ring through force or on my own accord.

Lab Work – Teeing Up Candy Crush Soda Saga
Have a few extra minutes to solve puzzles and enjoy some candy? Candy Crush might be the perfect game for those game time moments!
Candy Crush Soda Saga by King is the sequel to the original Candy Crush Saga. I started playing Sugar at the beginning of 2023, fitting it in between sessions of Factorio and Clash Of Clans. Candy Crush is a fantastic puzzle game that will appeal to fans of Connect Four, Othello, Tetris, or paper crossword puzzles. It requires quick thinking and reflexes. Sugar offers great game play and animations. Personally, I prefer Soda over the previous versions of Candy Crush because it feels more polished. Factorio remains a favorite desktop game of mine, while CoC Clash Of Clans and Candy Crush, both mobile games, have been put on hold for now.

COC Dilemma
Let me explain further, in CoC in Clash Of Clans, I’ve been playing for over 10 years. I reached TH15, and maxed out before the wall max release, and I’ve tried out a few new characters. The game’s lifecycle has run it’s course for me. As for Candy Crush, the dragon stages can be challenging. It can feel like you might not be able to pass them without making in-game purchases.
Now, I’m sure there are plenty of people out there who have completed the dragon stages, but I have not. Kudos to those who have. I might need to do a little internet research, I guess. However, I liken the experience to my childhood, playing Gyromite, Castlevania or even Super Mario; and you can’t get out of the rut. I feel like I just can’t ‘beat’ a particular area/stage/puzzle etc. So, without going down the rabbit hole, what I tend to do is set the game down, uninstall until it’s time to pick it up again. I know brutal cycle… moreover, I tend to pick up the game every other month or so, a new install is a must. Perhaps it would be easier to just pick up with the dragon area…
Not a fan of Candy Crush game? No problem, let’s explore some other options before we finish up. How about the game of Solitaire? Go old school and grab a deck of cards, let’s play. Or maybe you’re up for a game of World War 3 play with friends like we did here, or take on the challenge of conquering the world alone. Not into ‘Risk-like’ games? How about trying out D&D? Check out Dungeon Boss – Revised. Still not interested? What about Clash of Clans?
In-game screenshots to follow. It’s been a month or two since my last play-through. Stay tuned for my gaming experience in the next few weeks!

The Master Chief does it again, conquer the enemy, save the world. Simple. This playthrough is epic, fun to watch, easy to follow along and virtually take on the world of Halo. Above all, Microsoft has out done itself with Halo Infinite. A good time to be had, @fightinCowboy brings us an instant classic.

CoC: Legend League Update
CoC: Legend League at 5000+ Trophies
Lab Work – Legends League
Legend League Update – Level 15, Hero Updates… theLegend League trophy push has ended for now, currently sitting at 5095 trophies. There is no need to continue pushing at the moment as I have upgrades to focus on: hero(s), defensive troops/buildings, new pets to upgrade.
Picking up where we left off, the latest post covered the new level 15 Townhall (TH) upgrade, new characters, pets and more… Since then, we’ve been battling it out, making a strong trophy push to see how far we can go without any trouble. The Legend League is different from normal play, with limitations on battles per day and trophy retention. We quickly found out that our clan and TH status are not ready for prime time. The Legend League it self is different, fun, and offers an interesting take on the game. However, it’s no joke. We are able to maintain around 100 trophies without losing or gaining, but this hinders our ability to upgrade. Our TH/clan setup needs some work before we can progress further in the league.
5000+ Trophy Push
This specific profile is different from my others, likely the most frequently used, and definitely has the most troop upgrades. However, anyone can reach the Legend League with some conditions. While any Clash of Clans member can push trophies past the 5000+ mark, the catch is that there are far many more maxed out players waiting to compete. The Cost-to-Benefit (CBA) or Return of Investment ROI) is mild when playing with a non-maxed clan, as no gold is lost.
If you need to upgrade, my suggestion is to focus on dropping out and farming until you can max out your clan. Keep in mind that you won’t be able to earn money, elixir, or dark elixir to upgrade your Town Hall either. By participating in 8 battles a day, you will only receive rewards based on those battles. At the end of the day, the trophies you earn or lose will be added or subtracted from your total, and those who remain above 5000+ threshold will stay in the league. Currently, I am just below 4800 trophies and on my way down, but I am still in the league. This experience has been a good test for my clan and Town Hall, both there is still much work to be done in order to compete in the Legend League. NES Classic – Tecmo Bowl
Lab Work – Tecmo Bowl Video
Tecmo Bowl – Epic Cut Scenes, Great Football-like Plays, Easy-to-Play, Play As The Most Famous Players of the Time. See more…
Let’s catch up on the Tecmo Bowl video… a classic NES football game… in my opinion, the first and best. Like racing games, there are only a few football games that stand out to me: Tecmo Bowl, the Madden Football Series, NFL Quarterback Club, John Elway’s Quarterback Football, College Football and NCAA College Football.
Maybe be there are more than I originally counted but that’s okay. The point is still relevant. Elway’s, Tecmo and Madden 2024… are on the Top 5, not necessarily in that order, but they represent over 38 plus years of football gaming. My only complaint is “that there is to much”, I prefer the simplicity of the earlier games, excluding Madden 2024. Sometimes that cut scenes and watered-down story lines get old quickly. Therefore, I find Tecmo Bowl and Elway’s more enjoyable these days(again, in my opinion you all might like prefer generational games like NCAA Football 2024, or Madden’24/’25).
Check out @nintendoComplete for Tecmo Bowl coverage, it’s peak coverage. Watch this video and others like it on YouTube or check out our other videos found under the video category on our website.

Lab Work – Super Off Road Video
Might be Top 3. Go back and celebrate one of the best SNES games, SUPER OFF ROAD, watch BIG DUKES – SUPER OFF ROAD video. See more…
Play Now! Play Big Duke’s Super Off Road now! Super Off Road is a RC Pro AM style game (a game similar to RC Pro Am) except, RC Pro is much more difficult. It’s all relative, and that hasn’t changed since my RC Pro AM days. I can’t remember which course on Big Duke’s I liked the most, the water, the hay stacks… it’s been sometime… but my money was on the Blue Truck. Off Road was a great game, and the play-through is only a glimpse in time.
The game itself is still a masterpiece, still today, a fantastic game. It had a cool idea, a great racing theme, ease-of-use (relative to playing the game more than an hour or so). Control can be a little funky. But… a great implementation, design and truck racing game… more importantly you as the driver could improve the performance of the truck by investing in the following upgrades like Nitro’s, Acceleration (Engine), Tires, Top Speed, and Shocks. Hint – Nitro, Tires and Acceleration were my go to upgrades.

Take The Flag – Commando
Lab Work – Commando Video
@worldoflongplays presents “Take That Flag”, a full play-through of NES Commando! See more…
One of the more difficult games back in the day was trying to ‘take the flag’ in the vertical scroll game, reminiscent of the Contra horizontal scroll or ‘metroid-vania’ style games. Not for the faint of heart, this game dates back to 1985 and features a difficult run and scroll format to Contra and other horizontal and vertical scroll games. As a child, I struggled with the difficulty of navigating those huts and towers, which seemed to always trip me up.
Speaking of Commando another game worth mentioning is Contra, a hybrid of the two styles with more of a horizontal scroll but sprinkled with vertical elements. I always thought Commando video could benefit from this hybrid-scroll gameplay, which would have been my only complaint about the game.
In hindsight, I learned to take down the towers, bunkers and huts in Commando, which is why I appreciate the game even more now. Despite its difficulty, the game is fast-paced and becomes easier as you learn the strategies and puzzles of each level. Anyhow, the game is hard, fast-paced and ‘easier’ as you learn the game strategy and board puzzles. Unlike most games, the ending is interesting, (SPOILER) with a simple message thanking the player for completing the mission. It may seem underwhelming, but as an adult, it resonates with those who have serve in some capacity. It’s fascinating how art can reflect real life in unexpected ways. I recommend watching a video of this game on YouTube or playing it online if you have access to a platform like Nintendo Switch.

Get your Doge on, with Dogeminer v2. When was the last time you played and took your doge to outer space?
I’m not forcing you to play Doge, but may be you should (just kidding, I don’t need more people on the Doge servers)! Anyway, we recommend playing Doge or Doge 2… It’s a great game that’s easy-to-play, just tap along, build, blast off, and go where no doge has gone before. Say goodbye to app crashing, progress loss, or game issues. The best part of this game is the ability to save a downloadable file for later. Better screenshots will have to wait next time! These Dogeminer v2 games should suffice for now.
