New Zelda Video

Breath Of The Wild

@shikkaro New Zelda Video

Lab Work – @shikkaro New Zelda Video – Gameplay

I’ve been waiting to cover the new Zelda Video for sometime now (seven years, with over 50 hours of gameplay shared). Visit @shikkaro on YouTube for the complete game walkthrough.

Embark on an epic adventure as Zelda, tackles the Breath Of The Wild, a truly remarkable game. Experience the same adventurous journey and journey through Hyrule, with the ‘open world’ concept, new enemies, smooth gameplay, and more.

Please note, this game is not new per se, just new to me. I’ve been putting off the Nintendo Switch for what feels like a life time. It’s on my list of consoles to purchase at some point… so this article will cover more of the experience from a viewers perspective. I would encourage you all to check out @shikkaro’s gameplay, with roughly 23 video segments, providing a lot of content. A huge shout out for the coverage. Moreover, now, let’s get into the game!

Gameplay, Hud, Enemies, Story

Starting with the storyline, conquer the Hyrule land, a breath of fresh air. It remains smooth even after more than 7 years since it’s launch. Bend time, climb, and create with the power of ‘bending time’. The HUD is easy on the eyes, helpful and easy to follow. It is non-intrusive, clean-lined and straightforward (meaning limited screen real estate, simple and helpful) as a HUD should be. Sometimes these elements can be a distraction, with moving parts (or mechanics), aggressive angles and create distractions. Yes, elements in the HUD do move, and change as activities progress. However, the HUD in this game is appealing and non-intrusive allowing for more focus on the game itself. The storyline and game play would remind you of The Legend of Zelda, explosions and such with elements shared from The Ocarina of Time. AS such, a long time console user will be familiar with. It fits nicely in the Zelda series progression.

Enemies are fun and challenging, as are the puzzle and strategy elements included in the game. The game brings back memories of the late 80’s; certainly nostalgic. Enemies complement stage play, contributing to the storyline progression. The game has held up well and is ready for it’s companion game released in September 2024. Enemies have more advanced AI systems at play in Breath Of The Wild. The simple 2D-likeness and 3D simulation in Nintendo games contribute to their staying power over the years

Patience, Hours Of Content, Content Creator

Lastly, thank you for the game coverage @shikkaro, a subscriber myself. I love the content, the play-throughs and each adventure you take on. I’m very thankful for the content you put out there. Without you and other gamers, I’d miss more than 70% of the games out there.

I love the video and the complete game play-through without commentary or frame share; shout out @shikkaro. I’ve recently subscribed to the channel as well, promote the work as often as I can and can’t wait for new content; while always looking at previous videos on the playlist. Indiana Jones Video

Jones’ At His Best

@TheRadBrad Indiana Jones Video

Lab Work – Indiana Jones Video – Full Game

For a fresh perspective on Indiana Jones, the video, visit @TheRadBrad on YouTube for the complete game walkthrough.

Indiana leads us on a journey around the world, encountering new enemies and some very familiar foes. We reunite with Jones back at the University… where things all take a classic Indiana twist.

Through The Jungle, Battleships and Fighter Planes

Take a ride on jungle canoes, fly World War 2 airplanes, fight enemies in the Great Pyramids of Gaza or take flight in a World War 2 Battleship via the Manhattan Project… and speaking of the Manhattan Project, you’ll have to dive deep into the archives for more on that. Befriend the locals, a co-narrator, and experience end times; a battle of biblical proportions (literally).

I don’t want to give the Great Circle story, nor the twist and turns along the away… I’ll let the work speak for itself, check out @TheRadBrad’s playlist as he covers the entire series, from start to finish. However, I do want to compliment the efforts, and share a little more about the game. The Great Circle was developed by MachineGames and published by Bethesda Software; an epic Indiana tale.

Released on 12/9/2024, this Indiana game is packed with puzzles, combat, hand-to-hand takedowns, gun play and more. It has everything a new game should have and then some. It’s got it all. The Indiana storyline is alive and full of mystery, with challenging enemies, witty one liners, everything you’d expect from an Indiana title – Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Check it out on Steam, Xbox, desktop and PS5.

In Closing

Lastly, thank you for the game coverage @TheRadBrad, a subscriber myself. I love the content, the play-throughs and each adventure you take on. I’m very thankful for the content you put out there, without you and some of the other gamers, I’d miss probably 60%-70% of the games out there; I certainly would not be able to play them just based on skill, cost and time etc.

I love the video and the complete game play-through without commentary or frame share. I’ve recently subscribed to the channel and can’t wait to follow along, share your channel. Ice Hockey Video

Game On!

@WorldOfLongPlay Ice Hockey Video

Lab Work – Ice Hockey Video – Full Games, fights and all

Dive into Ice Hockey, a 1988 Classic NES Nintendo Entertainment System video game

Choose a team, set a speed, select a duration, create a team profile, and hit the ice. Simple.

Among the hockey titles, Blades of Steel, NHL 98, NHL 2024, and Ice Hockey, the original NES Ice Hockey game might just take the cake. The differences, are significant, such as more control in the newer games, can sometimes be too much in my opinion. Take it for what it is. There are moments when I simply want to pickup a game, play, enjoy that time, and then set it down. With the newer games, there is often a story mode or a “get into the league” challenge.

In contrast, NES Ice Hockey is all about grabbing a stick and just playing. I believe that’s way it remains at the top of the list of hockey games… maybe tied with NHL’98, but it’s been too long for both. The NHL series of games has some tricks and scoring tips, but the newest version’s AI (NHL 2024) accounts for those said moves, which seems to take away some of the skill from 97′-’98. It’s a bummer, more skill required I suppose. Getting down to the basics, I love the simplicity of grabbing a stick an playing the NES Ice Hockey game…

The play-ability, in-game challenge, speed and accuracy are key in the NES game. The fighting scenes are a bit odd, fun, as it looks like two whirling dervishes glitching out, it’s quite amusing. While some of the other games mentioned above refine the fighting button combinations, and cut-scenes… this is something the game lacks in creativity. Not a reason to skip this as a “buy”. More so, it’s a 30 year old relic, so it’s a matter of appreciation for those developers. Which is fine, it doesn’t take away from the game nor the nostalgia.

Moving past the fighting scenes, the Zamboni cut-scene is great for periods and half-time, goalies… no complaints here! Truly, this game is a gem for nearly 40 years. It’s amazing to think that these original NES console games have had a 40 year shelf life. Who would have thought that at 8, 9 or 10 years old, I would be writing about them 40 years later?

Next, thanks for the coverage @worldOfLongPlays, love the video and complete game play-through. I can always count on the full game from your channel. Helps to explain the nostalgia, since I’ll never own and/or play the game again. Shadow Video

EPIC Game

@Shirrako Shadow Of The Colossus Video

Lab Work – Shadow Of The Colossus Video – Full Game

EPIC adventure, Shadow Of The Colossus PS5, a *remake of the PS3 Shadow’s video game

Choose a player to tackle the Colossi, experience epic game play, adventure and more. It’s simply an amazing adventure game.

Take on the Colossi, each entity leading you deeper into the abyss. Battle the most epic beasts in the wild, challenge yourself to take on the epic sea dragon (an electric sea monster). Moving along, it’s been awhile since my last Gods of War game, and it reminds me of the scalability, environment and smoothness of the gameplay.

First, you’ll tackle and fight behemoth after behemoth, titan after titan… Sand dragons, worms, sea creatures, rock monsters… This action-adventure game is simply epic. The storyline is easy to follow, all in an effort to save a soul, the truth of which is revealed only at the end (spoiler). Each challenging, shadowy creature lurking around provides a piece of our heros friend’s soul or lifeforce which is revived only to know the truth and meaning of their actions.

Epic Battles

Each battle builds on the next, with various challenges presented by battles and bosses. It feels very Black Myth… not saying there is a connection, just has that same vibe. More over, the graphics (Shadow of the Colossus) may not be as good as Elden or Black Myth Wu Kong. However, you can see where I’m coming from. The bull-like and sea creature  are at the top of my bosses list… the flow and fight sequence is just brilliant. Additionally, in each battle sequence, our hero is challenged with natural enemy evasive tactics and puzzles that ultimately lead to their demise.

HUD, Scale and View

Next, the in game HUD is simple and easy to consume (thanks to @shirrako with no intrusive voice or frame overlays). Sometimes this makes sense for play-throughs, how-to-plays or game strategy. Some food for thought, if you haven’t figured it out, just following along is great like watching a Greece Epic. Next, the view is nice, that over-head 45 degree angle, with zoom offers a great perspective and adds to the ambience and experience. The scale is awesome (flight, underwaters, caves) and flows nicely. The sky and water effects, swimming, horse riding, landscape… just brilliant.

Thirdly, the game is unreal.  A Souls-like with elements of God’s, and Elden Ring. The game refreshes fast considering it’s 3 years old or more by now. Make a note, Sony originally released a Shadow’s game out in 2005 for the PS2. And, @Shirrako posted the video three years ago, garnering just under 2 million views for this play through alone. Hoping to grab a copy (I will), it’s on my shortlist of games to add in 2024.

Super Castlevania Video

Game Play-Through

@lordKayoss’s Super Castlevania Video

Lab Work – Super Castlevania Video – Castelvania IV Coverage

Dive into the Super Castlevania IV Video, a 1994 Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) epic adventure

Simon Belmont vs Dracula, like Tom and Jerry, Batman and The Joke, classic good vs evil game. This game is truly an epic, genre defining game, still very relevant today i.e. Metroid-vania sytle games – The Last Faith, Blasphemous I, II and more. A great follow up to the NES/Game Boy series games: NES – Castlevania I, II, III GB – Castlevania I, II. There were a few arcade games I never got the chance to play in the arcade, which is a bummer… So, for reference there is a huge jump between GB Castlevania II and SNES Super Castlevania IV and Dark Souls for example.

Those of you who are new to the Castlevania series, or new title, be prepared for an adventure. The goal is taking down Dracula and his minions. Do so, be agile, climb, jump, dispatch enemies quickly and solve puzzles. The games ‘in series’ are fairly quick to play/playthrough. The older games, in my opinion are a little less forgiving unless you’ve built up a toolkit on ‘how to solve’ the enemy ‘ai’ (enemy IQ, or artificial intelligence). My two cents, like the Mario (watch any early SNES/NES even PS or XBox speed-run, this will help to show specifically enemy IQ or ai), most of the early games have patterns and similar enemy IQ, just find the pattern and dispatch of the enemies accordingly.

Next, thanks for the coverage @lordkayoss, love the video and voice over, this was one of the first games I completed back in 1994 or 1995. In any case, check out the Kayoss playlist on Super Castlevania IV on YouTube Logo YouTube… You can always see our video playlists, or check the video category on our website.

Warhammer 40K 2 Video

Warhammer 40k Space Marine 2

@theRadBrad Warhammer Play-through, Third-Person View

Video – Watch Warhammer 40K 2 Video

Warhammer 40K 2 Video, @theradbrad’s play-through by Saber Interactive September 2024 release,

I was hoping that @theRadBrad would cover this game, not a typical third-person shooter, or action RPG played on his channel. Boy, was I right about this one. I can’t believe that 40K Space Marine 2 turned out to be another huge title fro the year. That’s Elden Ring DLC, HellBlade 2, Stellar Blade, Black Myth, Ronin and Warhammer all in one year. There are certainly others (games) in the mix here that I’m skipping over…

Not done on purpose, just wanted to highlight the games he’s covered this year. For what was a big year back when Elden Ring was release, you have a DLC that could take up the mantle, a Warhammer game and Black Myth Wukong. I’m blown away, gobsmacked by the quality of games being produced and featured on his channel.

Rewind to 2022 – 2023, where we saw the release of Spiderman 2, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, RE (Remakes), Hogwarts, Alan Wake 2, and more. There are some serious games there* in that lineup, but not all of them. For one gamer and content creator, Elden Ring and God of War Ragnarok stand out… However, there are still a few more titles set to drop in 2024, such as Assassin’s Creed Shadow, which promises to shake up the samurai class.

More games are on the horizon, here in the 4th quarter. For me, I’m considering the Metroid-vania style The Last Faith or Blasphemous 2… Alternatively, I might revisit God of War or return to Elden Ring, despite being less than 1% complete after over 24 hours of gameplay. It’s crazy to think that less than 1% of the game has been completed.

Super Punch Out Video

Super Punch Out Play-through

@lordkayoss Does Boxing in 4k

Video – Watch Super Punch Out

Super Punch Out  Video, @lordkayoss’s play-through by Nintendo from 1994,

Kayoss presents another epic play-through, between @lordkayoss and @Zallard1’s blindfold runs, making Punch Out boxing even more exciting. Kayoss guides us through the double circuit, with the first circuit serving as a warm-up or training round.

The second circuit features CPU AI that changes offensive and defensive strategies, unlike the first circuit. It’s great to see Super Punch Out back on the list of videos to watch.

I recommend checking out @lordKayoss’s play-through. Additionally, @Zallard1 showcases a blindfolded run of Nintendo Punch-Out!! Wii Boxing. Yes, blindfolded. Check that out.

Stay tuned I’ll cover @LordKayoss Super Castlevania IV play-through in the next few weeks. A quick shout out to Kayoss for the Super Punch Out coverage. Watch this video and more on Super Punch out Video on YouTube YouTube or explore other videos in the video category.

Steelrising Video

Steelrising Video Let’s Play

A @FightinCowboy Souls-like RPG Video

Video – Steelrising Video, A Let’s Play

Steelrising Video is available now, @fightinCowboy play-through (Let’s Play), of Steelrising…

Steelrising is an older Souls-like action RPG game (first released in September. 2022) by Nacon. A steampunk-souls-like game an epic robot fighter… This is a “buy” for me and also on the short “buy” list.

Like other souls-like games, be prepare for a slog, a challenging and epic experience. While some gamer pros (content creators) make it look easy, it is not.

I’m not sure how realistic an edited video, showing a few blockers here and there (the videos are edited down for compression, length etc.), so take that warning for what it is worth. I like the live or like live Let’s plays as for me I can gain a better understanding of the game and it is going to be extreme challenge.

I’m also prepare for the impassable, and impossible at times seemingly impossible; but those obstacles will eventually be overcome. I anticipate that some farming time will be necessary, so it’s best to plan for that now. This preparation will make it easier when you find yourself relying on the internet for help. Let’s dive in! A big shout out to @fightinCowboy for both the walk-through and Let’s Play videos… these will surely come in handy soon.

Wukong Walk-Through

@theRadBrad Black Myth Wukong

Video – Watch Black Myth Wukong

Black Myth Wukong Video, @theRadBrad walk-Through.

Black Myth Wukong is a new action RPG developed and published by Game Science

Man, this is a fantastic game! Thanks to @theRadBrad, I was able to see multiple endings and whatnot. The level of game play, development, story etc. is all top tier. I would say, I’m gobsmacked; this game is off the charts. Not to mention video quality of the content. Honestly, I don’t keep up with upcoming games or what’s set to launch. That’s why I rely on content creators like Brad, Kayoss, and the NES Play-through folks who are experts at what they do and great to have around.

I have no idea what’s to come in the gaming world, but if this game is just a small glimpse of what’s to come; graphics, story, voice acting, performance all working together. The realism is there, but with a good mix of Chinese lore. The lore here might be worth spending a little more time on for someone who wants more information. It’s like Warhammer in the fact that the backstory is worth poking around, exploring and watching other video where it makes sense.
